What's the best insulating cooler? It seems that a cooler with a
score of 97 would keep food much longer than a cooler with a score of
92...

Scores are made up in this case.

Could a DIY one be better than the best avail? I'm almost guessing
that air tight pink or blue foam  boxes 2" thick would be better than
most things commercially avail.
