Hi all. Forgive my ignorance on this one but.... Was just fooling with prototype of my awning. I've discovered that an 8'x 10' tarp is too much for 1/2" EMT tube frame and 1" pipe I'm putting in jack points. Plus i'm ending up with 10' long struts. Too long! I might do better with longer pieces in jack points but.... Is an 8' x 6' awning even useful/practical? I know that one manufacturer makes an 8' x 8' awning similar to what I'm trying: http://web.mac.com/tubaneil/iWeb/Site%205/Awning.html I would like to use a "stock" tarp size if possible. In terms of materials, I'm trying to make my awning an "off the shelf" setup. Many thanks!
