Subject:Disaster strikes! Urgent Help Needed

Ok, so I'm sure there are some listers that maybe read my progress reports
on resealing the heads on Totoro and thought, "Hmm, sounds like Brendan's
having a pretty easy go at this. I wonder what hardship may fall on him
before the completion of such a project?" Well. . . .

Using the recommended torque sequence and a bar torque wrench instead of a
clicker, I was on the sixth head nut and it was feeling spongey, it would
torque up and then when I held it at 36 it would loosen a bit down to
about 30 and I'd tighten it up to 36 again it did this a couple times and
then it snapped. All the way in the block. Didn't leave anything to grab.
I am screwed. Right? What do I do? Is it time for a new engine? Do I
get a good long block and rebuild it? HELP!!!!

Brendan.
