I have encountered a number of tales of engines that have failed all of which had the yellow Canadian stickers. They were pretty crappy rebuilds done by Cummins in Toronto. They had so many returns for warranty they finally closed up shop and ran like bunch of chickens about two years ago now. There are no more rebuilt waterboxers engines available from VW.
