After my flue vent modification mentioned yesterday, I drove 175 miles
today, up to an altitude of 8000 ft and back home again, and the Dometic lit
easily and stayed lit the entire day, through the entire drive, without a
problem.  It has never worked this well before.  Exactly why this vent
modification was necessary, I cannot say for sure, though I'm suspecting it
might have had to do with the Model RM182A not being designed for higher
altitudes.  In any case, it worked like a charm, so I'm staying with it.
