I managed to damage the turbine shaft rings while reattaching the automatic
tranny to the final drive (1991 2.1 AT).  The shaft was secured with duct
tape, however it tore! Rats.  See Bently 38.3. The rings need to be
replaced.  How does one replace the rings?  Is this a VW only item or can
someone suggest a shop I can send the shaft to.
