How Do, About two months ago I replaced the entire exhaust system on my beloved (but still be-troubled) '85 Westy. I was hoping the new metal would make the bus a little more sociable, but I find that it still makes the aforementioned chuffing noise, just a little bit quieter now. When I compare the sound of my bus to Pete's '88, it's not the same at all: he gets a nice low rumble. I've gone through the entire exhaust system and verified that everything is nice and tight. What mal-adjustment is causing this? BTW, my brand-new exhaust system already looks like it's 4-5 years old, complete with a rusty tailpipe. What's up with that?
