Subject:Re: 2.5 Liter 5 Cylinder "Volksie Bus"

From my experience the 5-cylinder Audi engines are wonderful and hard to kill. I sold an Audi 90 with a 5-cylinder and 425,000 miles. It ran great.

The T4 got a 2.5 VW five which proved to be a dog, and Volvo used
this engine as well, unfortunately for it.

The T5 has a new 2.5 turbodiesel five, which apparently puts out a
bit more power than its Toyota Hiace riva's 2.5 TD four (though the
four may put out more torque, with its bigger pots). No contest for
interior space, though... the VW's engine placement eats up room.
