Hi, We considered an "easy-up" (don't remember the exact brand ... one of the crank-it-up shelters). But it collapses down to a rather large volume, and we didn't want to take up that much space in the van. And we considered one of the non-easy-up type of shelters. But it had a bazillion parts to put together. By the time we'd have gotten that puppy set up we'd have been bug-bit a bazillion times! It was more of a 3-D puzzle than a useful shelter. Now we have this: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00677165000P?vName=Fitness+%26+Sports&keyword=Melville "Northwest Territory 10 x 10 ft. Dome Screen House, Melville Harbour" We use it when the wasps and/or other stinging or flying things are prevalent and annoying. The disadvantage of it is that it doesn't fit up snug to the side of the van. We also have a screen for our sliding door, but that means three zippers: (1) far side of the shelter, (2) near side of the shelter, (3) sliding door screen. So we're now in the process of crafting a vestibule made of no-see-um netting and black seam-binding, so that we can put up our shelter near our van sliding door and erect the vestibule between our van and our shelter. Then we can get by with only zipper (1)..
