When this happened to me I tried drilling out what was left of the stud,
but it is super hard metal and I couldn't get through it.  I ended up
drilling a new hole next to what was left of the original stud.  I cleaned
the metal to a nice shine with a dremel tool and put a new SS bolt and nut
in there.  While I was at it I replaced the original ground strap with a
short piece of heavy duty 2 ga wire.  Covered all connections in a liberal
coating of di-electric grease and called it done.
