Get a small fan to move the air around inside the Dometic.  Then it
doesn't matter (as much) where you 'mount' the sensor.

(We don't have an indoor/outdoor thermometer for the Dometic.  We have
the four-dollar Coleman keychain/thermometer that gets tossed
somewhere inside the fridge along with the wine bottle ... )
