Ya know - I wish I had something better than: I took it off of the Vanagon, slipped it onto the spline of the 93 EuroVan and it snugged right on with no fitting issues - lined up with the plastic trim on the steering column with no rubbing or anything. It was just as if I removed the wheel from one Vanagon and slipped onto another. When it came time to sell the EuroVan (i.e. FINALLY found the Vanagon Weekender I'd been searching for 3+ years), I swapped the old EV wheel back on and put it up for sale. Maybe the early EV's had different splines that later ones? Obviously the airbag-equipped EVs would have a different setup I'd imagine (never have removed an airbag-equipped wheel from an EV).
