You get what you pay for with cell phone batteries. I can almost guarantee you a $1 battery, probably with $10 shipping, is a Chinese counterfeit and won't work. Or will only work a little before it explodes. TGIF. I need a new cellphone battery. Looked on the web at the options, and they seem to range in price from $1 to $80. The high end being for OEM purchased from Samsung or Verizon or something, $1 being for non-OEM purchased off the web. There are also OEM batteries on the web for around $30, and non-OEM for up to $15 or so. Is there reason to buy OEM batteries? Why are the super cheap ones so cheap, should I assume something is wrong with them? Can anyone recommend a reliable vendor of good-quality inexpensive cellphone batteries? Thanks! Joy
