I clamp off the hoses as well, and if the coolant is near new, I collect it
in a pan and funnel it back in after the job is done, filtering with
cheesecloth. For disposal, pouring it in the toilet seems to be accepted
though I doubt EPA would approve. My main worry is not killing little
creatures by leaving some on the ground.
