I need a new a/c rotary fan / thermostat switch for my '86 weekender. It's the one with the fan speed on the inside ring and the thermostat control on the outside ring. I searched the archives and found some very good info on the likely reason for its failure (excess current draw from old fan motors) but nothing definitive about the years this switch was used. I'm guessing '85 and '86 only, but does anyone know for sure? It would help with my search for a replacement. Alternatively, if anyone knows a non-junkyard source for these switches (preferably costing less than $400) that would be even better. Thanks.
