My '84 7 passenger was given to me in '91 with a bad engine.

I scrounged around and put a used engine and a new radiator in it for
less then $500.00.  Since then I've put just over $1,000.00 into it
(making all my own repairs) not counting tires and fluids.  It's been a
daily driver most of that time and still runs well.

My '85 Westy is another story, though, as I keep giving it presents ...
like a South African grille and such.
