There's a deal about 'parts for an antique car' possibly. I sent a vanagon part to a guy in Canada and he told me to put that on the box or form. It was a 20+ year old vanagon side window, but country of origin wasn't a factor. Perhaps that it was a used and not a new part. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of neil N Sent: Monday, November 05, 2007 3:39 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Some used Vanagon parts duty-free? (under NAFTA) Hi all. Do all Vanagon parts have a "Made in Germany/Mexico" stamp on them? I'm curious about ".....or not marked or labeled to indicate...." included in: -------- "How goods qualify under NAFTA Your goods qualify for the U.S. duty-free rate under NAFTA if the following applies: the goods are for your personal use; and they are marked as made in the United States or Canada or not marked or labeled to indicate they were made anywhere other than in the United States or Canada." --------- which I found here: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/E/pub/cp/bsf5056/bsf5056-eng.html#P031 Just curious.
