With the topic of running out of gas being discussed, i would like to inquire about odometer fixes. I too seem to have a debateable fuel guage, and a non working odometer/trip counter. I also need to have more miles on the car than i had last year in order to pass PA inspection this year, quite a problem when the Odometer never worked. Luckily i have a spare odometer/speedometer face that works! However, i need to add at least 30K miles to my spare before i can put it in my bus and be legal. My question therefore is, is there a good way to ADD miles to an odometer? I've seen one guide online but i have had no luck with removing the speedometer needle and feel it will be destroyed if i attempt. Furthermore, how much work is it to switch out the speedometers? I would assume it's just the removal of the dash cluster and a simple replacement, but i'm not sure. What have you guys done to fix your odometers? Thanks again -Craig '85GL
