Subject:Re: Was: Leaky ... fuel injector? Now: suck fuel/air through vacuum side of fuel regulator?

thanks Dennis. Yah wondered about a similar idea. My old grease gun.
But that would be too involved. The hose is too small as is the
cylinder.

FWIW, (those who are keeping score!) by squirting oil in the cylinders
and cranking by hand at the alt. nut, (part of the reason i wanted to
get the alt. a little more steady) I am now able to turn it without it
binding. As it was doing on 3 and and 1 cylinder. It would bind, then
I'd go ccw, then cw and so on. The engine now turns by hand all the
way with very little if any difference in friction through the entire
firing order.

And again, FWIW, removed from engine, with hoses off, I can totally
blow air from the vaccum side of the FPR through to the fuel
connection nipples.

And yah. It's GerfunktaBooten.

And here's pics of my Frankenstein temporary supports for alternator bracket:

Cheers

Neil.
