Yep, mine's an 805.  For what it's worth.  So maybe it's due for a rebuild
or whatever, since speed is way off and the odo is dead.

It's simple, first make sure you have the right speedo for a 2WD vanagon.
There's a tiny number in white letters at the bottom of the face.
For a miles per hour 2WD vanagon speedo that number should be around 800 ..
One 86 2WD vanagon here says 805 no it...
