I've had a 83.5 GL 9 pax sunroof and my 90 Syncro
Westie.
While I love the Syncro Westie and my son is going to
have to sell it 'cause I never will, the 83.5 had many
charms. It drove nicely and direct, with a decent turn
of speed since it was relatively light and had none of
that funky big tire stuff. Maintenance was a snap no
power nothing for simplicity, no a/c, just a nice
simple 1.9 and a four speed trans. Too many cars
though, and I sold it last year.
