Thank you everyone, I got my 84 Automatic Westy running last night. As recommend by the list I checked for spark, it was strong. Then I checked to make sure the fuel pump was spinning. I couldn't hear the standard 2 second whine at the initial key turn, but I had power at the pump. Disconnected the fuel pump and I didn't have any fuel flow into it. The fuel filter was plugged. To make sure that was the problem I poked a hole through the center of the filter and walla, it fired right up. Now off to buy a new fuel filter. It has also solved the hot start problem that was discussed previously. It's amazing that you do really need that gasoline stuff to make the engine run. :) Thank you everyone for all the help. It is much appreciated and now I'm ready for a great Thanksgiving road trip up the coast into Oregon from Sacramento, CA. Thank you again! -- Blake Heinlein http://blakeheinlein.googlepages.com/
