I am a firm believer in stock radiators for the vanagon. I have the original radiator from my 90 still installed with over 245k on the odometer. I use factory coolant and would estimate that I change the coolant every 2 years. Does anyone have anything close to that on any other type of radiator (AKG). At the Honda dealership where I work the best aftermarket alternative is Everride which offers a lifetime warranty. I have never seen one fail or leak and they don't seem to have any workmanship or construction issues. I know my radiators days are limited so I am starting to think about this.
