What is " corrugated wire wrapper" - That plastic stuff that comes in different colors to cover and hold bundles of wires ? Interesting idea. I wonder if there is any heat transfer requirements or intention for the fuel hose covering , as in preventing engine heat getting to the fuel hoses and fuel, or is it just chaffing protection ? -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Billy Hirt Sent: Tuesday, December 04, 2007 5:59 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: fuel line protective sleeve Hi Jerry, FWIW when I redid my lines I used corrugated wire wrapper. Then I taped it up really good with some high temp electrical tape to seal the split in the tubing. It was only around 6 bucks and so far I have been successful with it this way for 3 years. Plus I think it ads a really nice look to the engine bay.
