I've been using a Radio Shack meter for the past couple of years, and agree that the audible signal for continuity is worth paying for, to help in such tasks as adjusting the idle switch. However, it does seem to blow fuses all the time, as in right when you need it most. Whether this is a characteristic of the meter or of my usage I don't know. Fuses are a buck apiece, too, or thereabouts.
