Trees fall on things here all the time. Nothing underground on the Semiahmoo Peninsula. Last storm some 100' Doug Firs took out power lines in a few different spots including all of Crescent Beach. The one blocking Marine Drive was 4-5 feet across - and I took out our woodstove this summer............ Drove my Vanagon to a client's house and chainsawed the big Alder off the remains of his fence and re-built it.
