If you can't wait for an OEM key like what Steve Sandlin offers, most well-stocked locksmiths should have the aftermarket variety which is what I use on both my Vanagons. Taylor X110 is the key number (don't know the ILCO/Unican # off-hand tho,) and may also be found at most hardware stores too. The VW Profile is "N" and is not interchangeable with any other VW model. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On Dec 20, 2007 10:33 AM, Joy Hecht <hecht.joy@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi all, > > I have lost my extra vanagon key and tried to get a replacement made. > Went to two places that make keys, and neither had the blanks. > > Is this going to be a problem everywhere I try?
