Just block off the hoses is the right way. Whatever plugs you use have to be robust. I just find bolts of the right size with a smooth shank before the threads. I might hack saw off the threaded portion of the bolt. I've been saving an old heater core with a good valve on it I think. I could sell that part. If you need hose, just get the right size from a flaps. I am pondering repairing or just eliminating the rear heater. If I eliminate it what is the best method? Loop the two lines together or just block them off? If I block them off, whats the best method? Can I use regular heater hose from FLAPS for this heater or do I need to order the VW replacements? Any other rear heater wisdom would be appreciated.
