Subject:Re: removing floor in '86 weekender

Chris,
Thanks for the reply.
I'd be very happy to not have to remove the vinyl flooring.
BUT, I was told that on the '86 weekender, the stock fixed rear-facing
seat bolts into a plate that is welded to the metal floor under the
vinyl. Since I've got a second rear-facing seat just like the stock
one, I want to fasten it securely in the same manner, so I thought I
would weld a plate onto the floor behind the front passenger seat to
recreate what is used for the stock seat behind the driver.
Also, because my rear heater core has started to leak, I wanted to do a
good cleanup of coolant that may have seeped under the vinyl flooring.
