Bass players. I are one. If I could figure out how to make a bass guitar
and amp as small as, say, a ukulele, why then I'd bring it along. But
anyway, I have a 12'' sub mounted under the rear bench seat and a small
subwoofer amp for it. Crosses over at 80Hz, which at low levels blends
fine with the bitty rear overhead cabinet speakers when sitting in the
rear. But it's not very satisfactory when driving because the road noise
and rumble pretty much muddy up whatever the bass player is doing unless
I turn things up real loud, and I rarely do that.
When driving, using high quality stereo equipment a Vanagon is like
wearing perfume in a glue factory. When parked it's nice, though.
