Three thoughts - One, righto on the spare tire ......that might even be worth a quarter inch 'down' Two..........you drove or rolled the van to settle the suspension, right ? you know that when you put it back on the ground, until it's rolled a couple van lengths at least, the suspension won't be settled. Three..........technically, you could/should always have a simulated driver's weight in it, like a sack of concrete on the driver's seat to simulate the driver's weight, as it will always at least have that extra weight in it. 91's don't usually have a problem being high in the front. Shimming rear springs slightly is easy too. Now, with the van down off the stands and the proper Hankoook RA08 tires all around, it's become apparent that the rear of the van sits just slightly lower than the front. If I put a level on the rain gutter over the side door I see about 1/8 bubble inclined towards the front. This is with no occupants or cargo in the van. This was not apparent when first I got the van because there were undersized tires on the front, while the rears were about the right diameter (but not the correct load rating). Is this normal? Common? Correctable? Ah-ha, as I'm writing this I just remembered I have not put the spare tire up in its recess under the front -- that will probably help a little bit. Allan -- 1991 Vanagon GL
