Recently, I've smelled something new around the engine which I can't place. Best I can describe it is almost like friction or hot bare metal. Van is running fine, normal power and mpg. Was leaking a little oil (fixed). Not leaking anything now. Replaced the alternator belt as it was loose and cracking, but still have the smell. A visual check shows nothing lying where it shouldn't, everything OK. Any ideas? Don't really want problems, but don't want to be surprised... john 1983.5 Ye Suess 1990 BAD VAN
