Well, I don't grace the vestibule the local dealer calls a parts department here locally, but I decided to see how much that little S link piece of formed round steel that connects the gas pedal to the bell crank on the manual transmission Vanagon. I about fell over when he said it was $24!!!! Any one got one in semi pristine condition they'd sell me a little cheaper? Or better yet, trade for something I have laying around. I could let go of one of my VDO coolant/oil temp senders with the 14 x 1.5 thread pitch. It has a second terminal on it that comes on at 120 degrees C to either start a fan or turn on a warning light. I have one on ebay right now. You can have the other. I'm using one just like it on my van, but not utilizing the second terminal. Thanks DM&FS
