  Ours has been driven a CH over 227,000 miles.

  Its original 2.1 engine was preemptively yanked in
2002 at 164,000 miles and replaced with a TiiCo
powerplant.  Constant monitoring of the temperature
guage is now a dim memory from the past.

  Looking forward (far forward) to the next
transplant, which will probably be a 2.0 Jetta ABA
with Digifant engine management.
