Is this van fairly new to you? The normal drain plug has a 13mm hex and a flange for sealing to the case. There should be a copper crush wasjer to seal it. I like to use a fiber or nylon washer as it needs less torque to seal. Plan on the threads being messed up. You can get oversized plugs that have the flange and reduce size hex. The drain plug head takes a 19mm wrench but all my sockets are too big to fit into the recess in the case. Do you normally need a special thin-wall socket to get the drain plug out? Or has someone put an oversized plug in? Allan
