I've contended all along that VW should re-open the VW assembly line and produce a re-engined Vanagon. It is such a unique and useful design that it would surely sell well if marketed properly. To deny this would be say that all of us vanagon nuts are really nuts! Why else would we all put so much of our blood, sweat and hard earned geld into these things. But I think, they have used them up already making them into some different models. Unless, there is a guy who has bought them before. I knew a few guys from the BMW group, the top brass, I played golf with them every month, and their suppliers of the dies, tools, etc. I may still find the contacts if I really search for them, but only if its worth it.
