I used wheel bearing grease which can be messy, but helped none the less.

Now, you don't mean lube the track area itself do you? I was told (and learned from experience) to just keep the track area clean and lube the rollers. Otherwise you end up with a gritty nasty mess in the track, especially if you use wheel bearing grease.        Jeff
