Hey all, Just in case anyone was wondering what ever happened with my starting difficulties I am pleased to report that I am now back on the road. As far as I can tell it was just a coincidence that the day it wouldn't start happened to be the day I changed the temp sensor. The engine had been running very rich the day previous to the no start and just wouldn't warm up - even after cruising along at 80 kph for about 45 min. This is why I thought that perhaps the temp sensor was faulty. So low and behold, when I checked the plugs this weekend they were absolutely covered with soot. In addition, they weren't gapped properly and looked like they hadn't been serviced in some time. I think in the end it was a combination of extreme cold and the bad plugs that wouldn't allow it to start. After replacing the battery (which it desperately needed) and changing the plugs she started up with no hesitation at all. And even though its -16 C. right now she seems to be running normal again (no more black exhaust) so maybe the temp sensor cleared that problem up as well - I will have to wait and see. I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone for there help with this. James
