We are currently stranded in Ashville, NC (great place to be stranded BTW). Trip report on this great adventure will follow with a happy ending on Fryeday. I had a front wheel bearing fail and it damaged the left spindle. Van is currently at a garage since I just don't have the tools/facility that I need to do the work myself. I have the bearing kit and the rotor that was also damaged will be available Tues. AM. My wife and I have missed 2 days of work and are hoping that one of the listees may have a parts van that could help us out with the spindle. I have checked with Vanagon Rescue Squad and found 4 members in the area but none have this part. I will check that site again for the part only. Thought I'd give a shout out to the list for any ideas. Thanks everybody.
