So the 3 tangs on the bottom of the grill "perch" on the edge of the
sheet metal? It seems (on memory from *months* ago) it mounted
differently on the 85' I had.

Apologies for such elementary questions.

I really should go to the mall and spy on some unsuspecting Vanagons ;^)
