Ah, the joys of westy ownership. This evening here on the left coast, we have a total lunar eclipse. Starts just before moonrise (penumbral) continues through the martini and dinner hour and on into the post prandial cigar and cognac. If we're just lucky the clouds will hold off long enough for the spectacle of the eclipse over the Sacramento Skyline. According to the pundits, no not THOSE pundits, the other pundits, the celestial ones, the moon shall rise at roughly 75Deg true around 1745 with the totality coming around 1900 and lasting for almost an hour. More can be found by googling 'mr. eclipse'. Park the westy with a view to the east, ice up the boodles, broil the steaks, or the portobellos toss the salad and sit on the side porch for the event. Enjoy a fine cubano and a snifter of Courvoisier G.F.C. discuss the terrible plight of the rich folks, muse on how the mosquitoes find you so quickly and other pleasantries. Or you could bleed the brakes, take off the water pump, change the air in the tires, bicker over the real cost of diesel and whether or not you really need 12.9 bolts in your cvs. Or you could wonder about the wisdom of scoring your balls with an engraving tool so you can get your groove back.
