Bryan,
All good suggestions. A plugged catalytic converter could also cause similar
problems.
Factory timing made our 85 run wimpy. I set it to ten to fifteen degrees
BTDC. Basically I set it back until it pinged under hard acceleration then
came forward about four degrees. YMMV.
