I got my 'gl' clue from the top of the ad where it says it's a 91 GL.

And I like 'carrot'  better, and they could have offered a carrot orange
body  with a green roof.

Perhaps that "VANAGON GL" emblem on the rear hatch is a clue?

Definitely not a Carrat, and probably not a Carat (or a Carrot).
