It's simple, the author doesn't know what he's talking about. And why would he say 're-introduced' as if they were withdrawn from our market for a while ? 'making stuff up' as you say. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of BJ Feddish Sent: Monday, March 03, 2008 7:23 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Interesting Article About Pete Townsend's Bus My guess was that they are referring to the Vanagon which was introduced in England in 1979. If it's not that then it's the usual media making stuff up. The automotively minded will recall that the VW camper/minibus was reintroduced in the United States around 1979, but it was a bust, mainly because it was so underpowered."* I'm not disputing that it's under powered but the rest cannot be an accurate fact can it? -- Thanks, Jeff '90 Carat (Grover) '86 (We call this one Parts) '85 GL (Preparing to move to a new Home) '78 Bus (Melissa) Patty's Bus -- No virus found in this incoming message.
