<At the auto show in DC a couple of years ago I stopped by the Kia booth, and was surprised at the quality of finish and the appearance of their cars. The also felt very good (I didn't test drive one, as I really have no need to get yet another car.) And their prices were 2/3rds or 1/2 the comparable Toyota or Honda.> Last summer in Myrtle Beach I noticed an older gentleman, probably late 70's, staring at my VW tattoo on my left arm. After a few minutes, he came over to ask me about it. Turns out he was a retired VW mechanic, brought over from Germany and worked at VW dealers here in the US until he retired. We had a nice long chat about the cars and company that VW used to be. He said he had friends who still work for VW, and according to them, Hyundai is the new VW. He said some had even left VW to go work for Hyundai. Jeff
