<I checked my stabilizer with the key to the run position and I had volts in the pin closest to the passenger side but nothing on the drivers side. The center pin also had nothing but didn't even appear to be connected to anything. I suspect this component is bad? Any suggestions on the most affordable replacement?> I've had problems with my fuel/temp gauges as well, and suspecting the voltage stabilizer I ordered one from a vendor. It turned out to be an ill fitting POC, and made no difference, so I stuck the original back in. I then found some used ones, tried those and got the same results. Figuring they can't all be bad, I started looking around the back of the instrument cluster and found that the resistor R4 (page 90.4 of Bentley) is rusted and covered with greenish corrosion- I think I've found the problem.
