Gerry, How many of those Roadtreks and Pleasureway owners drove their vans to work? Or to the grocery store? Or to the hardware store? The thing that seperates the Westy from the rest is it's day-to-day utility. It's not just a camper (sounds like a tag line from a VW commercial). Why wouldn't anybody? What is really so special about these Vanagons anyway? And why am I addicted to them? I'm on my second Westy now and when I was camping last week in SC, there were bunches of Roadtreks and Pleasureway vans around. I was even invited into a couple of them and I must say I was overcome with envy. Granted they don't come with the Vanagon/Westy "family", but as much as I love you all, is it really that important?
