Thanks Paul - I know that sometimes it's the obvious thing but unfortunately
not in this case. We were surely going the right way - I checked and double
checked.

Yeah the adaptor was not Craftsman. We then went to a Craftsman
ratchet/socket and got no where but frustrated.

I certainly hope we aren't SOL - however it is good to know there are some
other (although tedious) options out there. Thanks for the link.
