Hey folks, I have a console filler strip I'd like to install in my 85
automatic.

One listee did this by removing the shifter handle and sliding the
housing up and over.  He also thought it might be possible to pop the
centre part of the housing out (the part with the illuminated gear
indicators on it) and go in through there.

Any thoughts?
