I have checked the archives! (google.com Site:vanagon.com)
I ('we' actually, but I'll protect the reputation of the other person!) had my van's steering wheel off, and now that it's back on, the blinker does not cancel when the steering wheel returns to straight ahead.
This is a NON-standard steering wheel. When off, I noticed a notch on the underside of the steering wheel adapter plate that would seemingly catch on the cancellation mechanism (on the right side of the steering column) can cancel the blinker. We did not mark the way the adapter plate (to adapt the non-standard wheel to the van's steering column), and it can go on with 6 different degrees of rotation.
So can anyone GUESS where the notch is to be in relation to the cancellation switch?
Right at the cancellation switch?
Anyone with a spare steering wheel who can look under the wheel to see where the stock notch is??? Thanks MalcolmHave something to add on this topic today? Revive this thread in the forum »
